Refund & Cancellation Policy

At American Automotive, we are committed to providing high-quality used engines and transmissions at competitive prices. We understand that buying a used part is a big decision, which is why we back our products with a 30-day limited warranty and a fair refund & cancellation policy.

30-Day Warranty Coverage

  • All engines and transmissions are tested and inspected prior to shipping.
  • The 30-day warranty begins on the delivery date stated in the tracking records.
  • Warranty covers replacement or repair in case of defective parts or mechanical failure not caused by improper installation, abuse, neglect, or accident.
  • Warranty is valid only if installed by a certified mechanic and accompanied by installation documentation such as:
  • Mechanic’s invoice/work order
  • Receipts for new oil, filters, gaskets, fluids, and seals used during installation
  • Engines must be installed with new seals and gaskets and transmissions with new filters, fluids, and seals to maintain coverage.

Refund Policy

  • Refunds are available only if the product is defective and cannot be repaired or replaced within the warranty period.
  • All refund requests must be made within 7 business days of delivery.

To qualify, you must:

  • Contact American Automotive for a Return Authorization Number (RAN)
  • Provide clear proof of the defect (photos, videos, or mechanic’s report)
  • Returned products must be in the same condition as received
  • Refunds will be processed after inspection and may take 5–7 business days to appear in your account

Cancellation Policy

  • Orders can be cancelled before shipment for a full refund.
  • If the product has shipped, cancellation will be treated as a return, and shipping charges (both directions) will be deducted from the refund
  • Any restocking fees will apply (up to 25% depending on product condition)
  • Special-order or custom-matched units are non-cancellable once processing begins.

Exclusions & Limitations

No warranty, refunds, or exchanges for:

  • Overheating damage
  • Improper installation or lack of required maintenance
  • Racing, off-road, or commercial heavy-duty use
  • Removal or alteration of identification markings/serial numbers
  • Shipping costs are non-refundable unless the return is due to an error by American Automotive.

  3. Receive a Return Authorization Number and return shipping instructions.
  4. Ship the product back securely packaged to avoid damage in transit.
